Indonesia’s Mount Levatobi Laki-laki erupted again, sparking renewed panic among residents already traumatized by explosions that killed at least ten people on Monday.
The country’s volcanology agency reported seven eruptions on Thursday, with the most powerful sending a giant ash plume 8,000 meters (5 miles) into the air.
Authorities have imposed a 7-kilometer (4.3-mile) exclusion zone around the volcano on the island of Flores.
More than 10,000 people are living in temporary shelters, and authorities are warning of possible flash floods and cold lava flows in the coming days.
