England head coach Brendon McCullum has confirmed that Jos Buttler will not continue the India series

“The one thing he (Buttler) will not do in this series is keep wickets, he will captain from the field,” former New Zealand captain McCullum said at a press conference on Monday.

“It’s a really positive thing for us because it gives Jose the opportunity to have the last word with the bowler and establish that relationship at that last second instead of 22 yards out.

“We’ve got a really good squad, we’ve got a lot of flexibility in the group. We’ve got a lot of options and it’s about putting it all together, which gives us the best chance.”
