How I stopped tooth decay and It helps to regenerate teeth. For healthy tooth enamel, it’s important to focus on good nutrition and good oral care. If you’re experiencing sensitive teeth, this homemade toothpaste can help prevent remineralization!

I used a two-part approach when actively working on my cavats. First, mineral level is what I eat and drink. I also used a natural remineralizing toothpaste for enamel repair. Since then I have noticed a huge improvement in tooth sensitivity and no new cavities!

Regenerating toothpaste

There is a lot of information about dental implants, a process that many dentists previously thought was impossible. This article It details the science behind tooth restoration and what foods to eat (and avoid!) for success. You’ll also learn why most toothpaste ingredients, even those with natural ingredients, aren’t the best.

Common formulas like Sensodyne reduce tooth sensitivity with fluoride and potassium nitrate. While I am not a fan of fluoride, there are other issues with some brands claiming to be remineralizing.

Silica, especially when it comes to whitening toothpastes, can sometimes be overwhelming. SLS added to foam may cause mouth and gum irritation. Nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste has recently gained popularity as an alternative to fluoridated toothpaste, but it also brings problems. can you Read more About that here.

Over the years I have written a lot about having a healthy mouth. What I found reflects my own experience with natural, fluoride-free toothpaste and a rejuvenating diet.

Don’t want to do it? Give it a try. Rejuvenates toothpastes At Wellness!

Natural toothpaste

I have definitely noticed huge changes in my teeth after using this toothpaste. Removes stains to help clean teeth and leave them feeling clean. Others who have tried have told me the same thing.

The most amazing change in my teeth is that they are not sensitive to the cold! For as long as I can remember I’ve bitten into anything cold (or so I thought!) and it hurt my front teeth. After changing my dentures, I noticed that I could eat cold foods without my teeth hurting. I couldn’t do that before!

This toothpaste recipe is approved by the child, and has since No fluorideIt is safe for children, teenagers and people with thyroid problems.

Ingredients and substitutes

I’ve made toothpaste recipes over the years with different ingredients. All of them have ingredients that help to strengthen the email (and improve sensitivity) to some extent. Here are these ingredients and what they do for a healthy mouth

  • Calcium – I used to Calcium carbonate In this recipe, it helps to rebuild the email. Although still a good option, calcium phosphate is even better. If desired, you can even use finely powdered, dried egg shells for calcium. A coffee grinder works well for this.
  • Baking soda – Soft bristles to help clean teeth and reduce plaque build-up.
  • Diatomaceous earth – Mineral rich and filled with silica For strong teeth and bones. It hurts to clean the teeth even a little bit.
  • Xylitol – Adds some sweetness to balance the mineral taste. Xylitol also has a lot. Oral health benefits And it helps prevent cavities. Although if you prefer not to add it, you can replace it with a little stevia to taste.
  • Coconut oil – This will help pull everything together and turn it from powder to toothpaste. Coconut oil helps reduce plaque, prevent gum disease, and balance oral bacteria. If your house is cold, you can replace half of the solid coconut oil with shredded coconut oil MCT oil.
  • Essential oils – These antimicrobial properties add to oral health and fresh breath. Some good options include cassia cinnamon, cloves, peppermint, spearmint, myrrh, or sweet orange. To avoid any disappointment, start small and add as needed in the recipe.
  • Oral oil – Try a pre-made healthy mouth oil instead of adding essential oils. I like this From Wellness, which includes ingredients like Manuka, and organic cinnamon and mint essential oil.

A note about being upset; Some concerns that diatomaceous earth or baking soda can be too harsh on teeth. While we don’t want to wear down the enamel, DE and baking soda can be mild alternatives. Baking soda rings at 2.5 on the MOHS hardness scale compared to silica at 6 or 7. DE is milder than 1 to 1.5 points.

  • In a bowl, mix together the calcium, diatomaceous earth, baking soda and xylitol.

  • Add coconut oil little by little until you get the desired consistency.

  • Add essential oils or a balanced mouthwash if using.

  • Store in a small glass jar.

  • Use a clean popsicle stick or spoon to scoop some out and pick it up on a toothbrush. Do not put the toothbrush in the jar, as this will introduce bacteria and cause it to spoil faster.

  • Storage and shelf life; Store in a cool place away from sunlight for up to 2 years. Replace if it starts to smell or become discolored.

  • The amount of coconut oil may vary, it is required to have a paste consistency of 1 and 1/2 TBSP to 2 and 1/2 TBSP of coconut oil. If your house is cold, you can replace half of the solid coconut oil with fractionated or MCT oil. This makes it not so difficult!
  • 1/2 tablespoon is the same as 1 and 1/2 teaspoons if you don’t have a measuring spoon.

More natural oral care options

Oral hygiene is not just about toothpaste! Here are some healthy mouth products to make or buy. I’ve included my brand Wellnesse for those who are too busy or want a pre-made option.

The internal side of remineralization

Rejuvenation is not only in the mouth. Using toothpaste with a high concentration of minerals may not be enough to help teeth. Remineralization is a whole body process. For this to happen, we need adequate amounts of certain nutrients, especially minerals and fat-soluble vitamins.

As I worked hard to rebuild my teeth, I focused on a nutrient-dense diet. I also eliminated foods high in sugar and phytic acid and added other lifestyle choices to increase nutrient levels. You can read my day Normal oral health In this article.

Getting enough minerals and fat-soluble vitamins is important not only because they support the body as a whole, but also because they create mineral-rich saliva. Our body needs healthy saliva to deliver the necessary nutrients to the teeth.

I’ve seen the best results from this two-pronged approach: eating for oral health and using this rejuvenating toothpaste!
