Earlier on Thursday, the Israeli military said troops were continuing operations in southern Lebanon and that planes had struck dozens of Hezbollah targets across the country.
Meanwhile, Lebanon’s health ministry said Israeli strikes killed six paramedics in three southern cities.
Four employees of the Civil Defense branch of the Hezbollah-linked Islamic Health Society, which provides emergency services, were killed when Israeli forces targeted an assembly point at the Derdgai junction, the report said.
A fifth IHS paramedic was killed in an airstrike on a vehicle in Deir al-Zahrani, while a paramedic from the Risala Islamic Scouts Association, an affiliate of Hezbollah’s Amal movement, was killed in a strike in Zefta, the ministry said.
There were no comments from the Israeli military. But dozens of paramedics and other emergency workers have been killed and wounded since it stepped up its air campaign against Hezbollah five weeks ago.
The military has previously accused Hezbollah of using ambulances to transport weapons and fighters. IHS denies any connection to military operations.
