Harvey Weinstein is back at New York’s Bellevue Hospital after receiving some alarming results from a recent blood test … TMZ has learned.
Weinstein’s lawyer Imran H. AnsariA blood test at Rikers Island was linked to Weinstein’s leukemia diagnosis, and while the results are worrisome, his condition is treatable.
It’s Weinstein’s latest health issue. his attorney says he is “suffering from a lack of adequate medical care and deplorable and inhumane conditions at Rikers Island.”
Weinstein will receive emergency treatment at a Manhattan medical facility and remain at Bellevue Hospital until his condition stabilizes, Ansari tells us.
TMZ reported … just last week Weinstein filed a lawsuit with the New York Comptroller’s Office, arguing that the conditions at Rikers are making his list of medical problems worse.
Weinstein’s lawyer now says: “Depriving her of care is not only medical malpractice, but also a violation of her constitutional rights.”
Meanwhile, Weinstein’s spokesperson. Judah Engelmeier“This mistreatment is cruel and unusual punishment.”
It was Weinstein was diagnosed with leukemia in October, and he was hospitalized earlier this year with COVID and a double bout of pneumonia…and underwent emergency heart surgery.
