Noah Scurry A Pennsylvania high school basketball star died tragically this week after being shot just steps from his home.
The Philadelphia Police Department said the fatal shooting happened around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday … revealing that Scurry was on her way to Samuel Fells Middle School when she was shot.
He was only 17 years old.
The motive for the shooting is still unknown… authorities say the incident is under investigation.
“No arrests have been made,” PPD said, “and no weapons have been recovered.”
Scurry was a senior at Samuel Fels HS and captained the boys basketball team. Breanna McGlynnhe was being recruited by colleges.
This week’s Panthers games have been canceled because of his death.

Principal of SFHS Melissa Rasper Scurry was more than just a talented basketball player … he recently scored the highest SAT score at the school, he said in a statement Tuesday.
“Our deepest condolences and thoughts go out to the family and friends of this student,” he said.
