Demonstrators march in the Georgian capital Tbilisi for a fourth night after the ruling Georgian Dream party suspended the country’s bid to join the European Union.
Fireworks were launched in the direction of riot police on the steps of the parliament, and a water cannon was fired at the demonstrators.
The country’s pro-Western president, Salome Zourabishvili, who was due to step down this month, told the BBC she would stay in office until new parliamentary elections and called the current parliament “illegitimate”.
