Florida man’s ‘violent threats’ to president on FB lead to arrest

A Florida man is now behind bars after he allegedly made ‘violent threats’ to the president Donald Trump Through Facebook.
Shannon Deparro Atkins was arrested Friday night during a traffic stop, according to police … following an investigation that began days ago.
West Palm Beach Police Chief Tony Araujo spoke to the media on Saturday … saying that after speaking with Atkins, he allegedly admitted to making a series of posts about Trump, claiming they were just jokes.
But Chief Araujo says posts like this are never a joke, especially in today’s political climate, and that’s why they blame Atkins.
A 46-year-old West Palm Beach woman is accused of making “violent” threats online … one post reads, “America needs one good bullet to save herself.”
Atkins’ posts allegedly sparked the investigation after someone contacted the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center with a tip, police said.
An investigation into the alleged records began Monday … and a suspect was in custody Friday night after a traffic stop … during which Atkins was allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine.

The suspect is currently in the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Main Detention Center … charged with 2 counts of first-degree murder, making a written or electronic threat to commit a mass shooting or terrorist attack.
He is also charged with possession of cocaine.
The Secret Service will determine whether Atkins will face any federal charges.
Trump’s team announced in November, after winning the election, that there were about a dozen violent threats to his team and appointees … including bomb threats.
