Season’s Greetings: Floral Designer and Reluctantly founder Liz Carter sat down with ET to share her holiday party must-haves and tips.
For starters, the flower expert says displaying her botanical paper bouquets can help set the mood.
“Reckless arrangements elevate holiday tables with timeless elegance. They don’t compete with food or decor. Best of all, there’s no need to worry about them fading. They last just as long. as much as your holiday memories,” he said.
And its realistic-looking hand-cut petals and leaves made from Italian crepe paper have even been painted, shaped and constructed to capture the spirit of Christmas.
“This season will be full of rich, jewel tones such as emerald, ruby and sapphire paired with metallic gold and bronze… Pairing traditional holiday green with unexpected shades of blush or deep burgundy will also be on trend, and expect to see pinks, burgundy and greens some wicked combinations,” he said.
In addition to displaying stunning centerpieces at your celebration, the entrepreneur likes to make guests feel comfortable and relaxed.
“Creating a welcoming atmosphere is all about simple touches like mood-setting music, cozy lighting, and an easy-going approach. Choose a mix of crowd-pleasing and festive treats for your theme. Encourage fun interactions with themed dress codes, with simple games or a photo corner,” he advised.
When it comes to gifts, Carter believes that meaningful gifts are the way to go.
“This year, I’m drawn to gifts that bring comfort and inspiration, like cozy blankets, craft candles, or blank journals to jot down the next great idea. Supporting small businesses is also important to me, so I’m looking for handmade items : items and unique finds from local producers,” he said.
