Hull KR finished second in the table this season and reached the Grand Final before losing to Wigan Warriors.
Minchella was included in the Super League Dream Team and made his England debut in the mid-season win against France.
The 28-year-old, who also featured in Hull Cray’s 2023 Challenge Cup final, has scored 17 tries in 100 appearances for the Craven Park side since joining hometown side Bradford Bulls ahead of the 2020 campaign. to
Minchella was “overwhelmed with pride” after the contract extension
He told Hull KR’s official website. “I’m very pleased to have extended my contract. I love coming to work every day. I work with some really good people.
“The players are obviously great people to work with and then obviously the coaching staff, the board, from the club shop to the cleaners, they’re all just good people.
“It’s an honor to play for our club every week and to know I’ll be wearing the shirt for another five years fills me with pride and excitement.”
Head coach Peters added. “We wanted to block the Mini for a long time.
“He’s our captain and our leader. He’s played a big part in the club’s journey and helped us get to where we are now.
“It’s not just what he does on the pitch, but what he does off the pitch as well. Mini has established strong links in the Hull Creon area and we’re delighted to keep him at the club for the long term.”
