A man who killed dozens of people when he drove his car into people training outside a stadium in southern China has been executed, state media reported.
Fan Weiqiu, 62, killed at least 35 people and injured more than a dozen on Nov. 11 after he crashed his car into an exercise track in Zhuhai, in what is believed to be the deadliest attack on Chinese soil in a decade.
The dispute was sparked by Phan’s “dissatisfaction” with how his property had been divided following the divorce, the court heard.
His execution on Monday came less than a month after a court sentenced him to death.
