Donald TrumpThe celebration of becoming the 47th president of the United States came to a screeching halt Tuesday morning when he visited a church in DC and was grilled by the bishop in front of the entire congregation.
Trump and the Vice President JD Vance sat on the bench and watched Marianne Budd – The Episcopal Bishop of Washington – gives DT a tongue-lashing at the Washington National Cathedral for some of his political policies.
Some of Donald’s family, wife Melaniadaughter Tiffanyand daughter-in-law Lara: — sat with him for Bude’s Trump trash talk.
Watch the video of Budd addressing Trump directly from the podium, telling the 47-year-old that he should show mercy to gay, lesbian and trans people who now fear for their lives.
Budd noted that immigrants are also fearful under the Trump administration because of its aggressive deportation policies.
He went on to ask Trump to welcome people fleeing war zones and persecution in foreign countries.
Throughout the sermon, Trump looked at Bade as he sat next to JD, and frankly, both leaders looked pretty pissed off. Melania, Tiffany, and Lara weren’t smiling either. In fact, all three women were sitting stone-faced and staring coldly at Bude.
You could say … Trump was riding high after his big inauguration on Monday, but Budd seems to have knocked some of the wind out of his sails.
