Donald Trump named Time magazine’s ‘Person of the Year’

President-elect Donald Trump He was named Time magazine’s “Person of the Year 2024” on Thursday.

The long story Includes an interview with Trump in which he discusses immigration, abortion and his incoming administration.

He confirmed that one of his first acts after being sworn in will be to pardon most of those jailed in connection with the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob.

“I’ll be looking at the J6 in the morning, maybe in the first nine minutes,” he told the magazine.

Trump repeatedly pressed whether he would pardon all insurgents, including those convicted of violent crimes.

“Well, we’re going to look at each case, and we’re going to do it very quickly, and it’s going to start within the first hour that I’m in office,” he said. “And a vast majority of them shouldn’t be in jail. A vast majority shouldn’t be in jail, and they’ve suffered grievously.”
