The party building against the candidate was never more relevant depending on the candidates.

DNC Chairman Ken Martin suggested nine reforms to consider approximately 450 members at the future August 27 meeting. Most importantly, Martin offers A allowance stating that DNC ”seeks to exclude unlimited corporate and dark money in our president’s nomination process since the current 2028 cycle.”
Previously, DNC leaders and the White House do not want to discuss the issue. The Lineik Party should withstand the decision of the Supreme Court 2010 “Citizens is united”, equating the donations to the election as a form of freedom of speech, but they do nothing to regulate corporate and dark money (funds from undisclosed donors) in the process of nominating the party. About 80 percent of the places of the house are one place for participants, so the main significant elections. Big money is often weighed on behalf of the central Democrats and against progressives.
Independent expenses are the funds conducted by corporations and organizations independent of the candidate. In 2024, independent expenses reached new highs when millions of dollars resulted in a few weeks before the primary elections, demonstrating the leading democratic candidates. It was a combination of corporate independent expenses led by crypto funds and independent costs funded by “groups” with names that hide not only donors but also the true mission of these groups. These independent expenses legally cannot coordinate with the candidate’s company, but does not prevent corporate or organizational sponsors from interviewing candidates on issues, and then supporting candidates who support the sponsors on these issues.
For those of us, focused on progressive social changes, these costs have blocked candidates who commit our entire agenda, including labor rights, gas stops, financial reform, rental control, Medicare for all and renewable energy sources. Progressive Kauk in Congress, which was moving to most of the Democratic Party coaches, has now seen that the leaders of the leaders have won, and the new progressive candidates, blocked by the press of crypto, fossil fuel and endless advice, aipac (US Israeli Committee).
Martin’s resolution will ask the DNC reform Committee to determine the specific steps that DNC may consider in 2026, which will limit the big money in the primary process of the 2028 president. DNC acted in previous cycles, postponing delegates from states that violate DNC rules and set the basic rules for candidates who may participate in the president’s debate. In 2020, the candidates had to sign the pledge of the party confirming their membership and support for the Democratic Party. Similarly, candidates may need to sign a version of the “People’s Promise”, agreed by Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown in the US 2012 Senate election. The “key to people” demanded from a candidate who benefits directly or indirectly from the big money of independent expenses to donate a similar amount: from the campaign funds to the appointed charity. The company’s funds are much more valuable than the money providing a powerful deterrent.
State and territorial democratic parties are separate legal organizations, and similar actions for their primaries require the actions of each of them. Martin’s resolution encourages this. Such actions in several states are carried out independently. Resolutions that restrict independent costs in their primaries and the creation of similar stages of research and implementation were adopted by the North Carolina and Arizona parties. State parties also make up a variety of policies for nomination of candidates, and in some cases the constituencies and municipal parties regulate the process of nomination within their jurisdictions.
The reform at the state level and district requires the interested Democrats to organize support. Too often we pay little attention to the rules and too much attention to the candidates. The elected Democrats, as well as the past and potential candidates, must also advocate these reforms by state parties and DNA. The party donors should be focused on the victory of the Republicans and the support of candidates for the democratic party, elected voters without the impact of big money. Until we cancel the United Nations citizens, reform supporters do not seek to limit the independent costs in the overall elections that huge amounts of corporate money and donors who support the Republican candidates. But primaries is another thing.
Party construction against the candidate for dependence has never been more relevant. The mud organization inside the party bureaucracy and outside is crucial if we focus on politics as a means of change we want to see, not team sports. Restriction of big money in the process of highlighting is an important step in the real change. Ken Martin demonstrates his own leadership in these efforts. Now we all need not only support it, but also bring a similar message to grassroots voters and activists across the country.
At this point, the crisis we need the only, progressive opposition to Donald Trump.
We begin to see how we start to develop on the streets and ballots all over the country: from the Candide company in Mary’s New York Mammani, focused on accessibility, community that protect their neighbors from ice, to senators who oppose weapons.
The Democratic Party has an urgent choice: will it accept a policy that is fundamental and popular, or will continue to insist on the loss of elections with the elites and consultants who brought us here?
At NationWe know on which side we are.
