Referee David Coote has been suspended by PGMOL.
Last month, a video, which remains unverified, appeared on social media showing Kuti making disparaging comments about Liverpool and their former manager Jurgen Klopp.
Kuti, 42, was initially suspended by PGMOL and the FA launched its own investigation.
Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) have now confirmed the Nottinghamshire official’s termination in a statement on Monday afternoon, saying a thorough investigation had concluded he was “in serious breach of the terms of his employment contract as his position was deemed indefensible”.
PGMOL’s full statement reads: “Following the completion of a thorough investigation into Kut’s conduct, his employment at PGMOL has been terminated with immediate effect today.
“Kut’s actions were found to be in serious breach of the terms of his employment contract and his position was deemed unreasonable.
“Supporting Kut remains important to us and we remain committed to his well-being.
“Kut has the right to appeal the decision to terminate his employment.”
