“When you think about a fighter coming out, when a fighter comes out (of the Octagon), I mean the two biggest ones that really shake up the arena; President Trump and: Conor McGregortwo of the fights that ever took place,” said the head of the UFC Babcock on TMZ Sports TV show (broadcast nightly FS1:)
Of course, UFC 309 goes down Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City, the first PPV event since Trump’s defeat. Kamala Harris In the wake of last Tuesday’s landslide, we asked Dana if DJT would be home.
“I think everything is possible. He’s a big fan. Who knows, he might get in,” White said with a smile on his face.
Dana and Donald go back.
In the early days of White’s UFC ownership, when states (like New York, which now loves the UFC) and all sorts of places were refusing to host MMA fights, Trump offered his casinos in Atlantic City … at a time when promotion was tough. just getting along.
When DJT decided to run for president before the 2016 election, DW was right there with Trump, speaking early and often on behalf of his close friend.
In other words, the men have an incredibly strong bond … so don’t be totally shocked if Trump’s first public appearance is at UFC 309.
Watch the full interview … DW and MB talk it out John Jones vs Stipe Miocic (the greatest heavyweight fight ever?), Bones’ future (could this be John’s last fight? Tom Aspinall?), and much more … including why White should probably just write Michael Chandler and: Charles Oliveira $50k check right now.
