The Los Angeles Clippers may have gone winless in their season opener last season, but even an 0-1 record couldn’t dampen fans’ enthusiasm for the newest $2 billion ballpark in Inglewood.
After years of construction, the Intuit Dome made its regular season basketball debut last night when the Clips hosted. Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.
The man who owns the team and paid the huge bill for the project, Steve Ballmerwelcomed the fan base as only he could. And needless to say, she was pretty excited.
“Let’s hear it, Clipper Nation, fire it up, let’s go crazy!”

The building is breathtaking… it’s full of cool technology aimed at making the viewing experience even better for the audience. You don’t even need to carry cash or a credit card to buy food and drink.
But “The Wall” is perhaps the hottest feature in the arena. Think about the student section of a college. The wall consists of 51 rows of affordable seats directly behind the basket…creating an intimidating sight for opposing players shooting free throws.
Although he was obviously a visitor, Kevin Durant was a big fan.
“Unbelievable. I liked it. I absolutely love the wall they got. It’s crazy.”

And it seems to have worked. KD missed two free throws to the wall, but it wasn’t enough to stop Durant to give the Suns the win. He finished the game with 25 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
The Clips will now leave the friendly confines of Intuit for two road games before returning home on October 30, where they will look for their first win in their new digs.
