PHOENIX — Police are investigating a Christmas shooting at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix that left three people shot and wounded.
Phoenix police said the afternoon shooting happened at an airport restaurant outside Terminal 4 security checkpoints.
An adult woman and two adult men were shot, leaving the woman with injuries described by police. Both men were in stable condition and expected to survive, police said in a statement.
The shooting involved a group of people who knew each other and got into a physical fight, leading one of them to pull out a gun, police said.
A man and a girl were arrested in a nearby parking lot. Police did not immediately release information about possible charges.
The shooting temporarily closed a security checkpoint in Terminal A and led to a service interruption at the terminal’s PHX Sky Train station.
