One of the richest people in the world congratulates Donald Trump to return the presidency … back Jeff Bezos Sending Trump to the main bases.
The Amazon founder posted on Wednesday morning X… “Huge congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory. No nation has greater opportunities.”
Bezos also wished Trump “every success as he leads and unites the America we all love.”
The congratulations come after Jeff sparked a backlash last month when he suddenly stopped the Washington Post, a newspaper he owns, from endorsing the presidential candidate.
Bezos’ decision to break with the paper’s endorsement tradition led to more than 200,000 readers canceling their WaPo subscriptions shortly after… NPR … and some people even went so far as to claim that JB was trying to curry favor with Trump in hopes of possibly winning the election.
For his part, Jeff has said his decision to end WaPo endorsements was one of impartiality, and “no quid pro quo” was involved.
Interesting… Bezos has only posted twice on X this year… and his only other post was on July 13th. Trump assassination attempt In Butler, Pennsylvania, when he said: “Our former president showed tremendous grace and courage tonight under literal fire. So thankful for his safety and so sad for the victims and their families.”
When Trump was previously in office, he frequently blasted Bezos for negative coverage in the WaPo … and DT even threatened to investigate Amazon for alleged antitrust violations.
