Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Vanderbilt Mortgage & Finance Inc. sued in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, alleging that the company’s lending process “ignored clear and obvious red signals that certain consumers were unable to repay loans on their terms,” according to the complaint.
