Trump’s campaign said the Republican nominee had a “very busy and active campaign schedule” and argued that Harris “does not have the stamina of President Trump.”
The barb trade came after the White House released a medical report that said Vice President Harris “has the physical and mental fitness” necessary to serve as president.
Dr. Joshua Simmons, a US Army colonel who has been Harris’ doctor for more than three years, wrote that her last checkup in April was “unremarkable,” adding that she leads a healthy and active lifestyle.
He also noted that she has a family history of colon cancer and allergies — she continues recommended preventive care, including colonoscopy and annual mammograms.
After the release of the medical records, a spokesperson for Harris’ campaign wrote on social media: “your turn, Donald Trump.”
Ahead of the North Carolina election campaign, Harris also tried to question her opponent’s mental acuity and how he “goes off on a tangent.”
