“This week Steve Schmidt told the story told him by Bishop William Barber about the conversation between Frederick Douglas and Hariet Tubman.

When we see our current situation, we must remember that it will never be as terrible as for them. And so they need to say a lot.

This is with Schamidt’s Smaskt that is highly recommended:

“Bishop Barber told me that after The Supreme Court’s decision is Dred Scott 1857 that 39-year-old Frederick Douglas slipped into depression. He was noticed by Hariet Tubman, who approached him and asked the American giant a simple question of three words.

Tubman asked:

God is dead?

Bishop Barber explained that the question arose Douglas and was ashamed of him, because in an instant he admitted that he was guilty of the type of idolatry.

He acknowledged that he had invested faith in men and institutions over the highest vigor. What Douglas, a devout man, considered the hand of God.

In 1857 he was a genius and a moral giant, and he did not break.

Douglas knew that he would have to face this crisis of doubt, and so he did.

He prepared a speechAnd in the first half he announced the evil of Dreda Scott’s decision.

He complained about the terrible hypocrisy and the delusions of the country, which celebrated freedom, while engaged in more than 3 million people.

Then he cut to the totality of the case.

Bishop Barber explained in his melifle baritone that happened next.

When he did it, I felt a deep peace of mind and confidence in events.

I know how our current difficult situation will end.

Frederick Douglas wondered whether the decision to put out a chain of connection of events that, when together collected in full, would lead to the fall of all evil slavery institutions.

At this point, it seemed impossible, but from that moment the failure began.

Slavery was at the end when it seemed that it would endure and expand.

Let’s do this again.

Frederick Douglas cannot be erased.

His words and moral income are our heritage.

We share them together. They should raise us in the growth of confidence in the threats that will face and crush the indignation of free people who will not put up with this frost, fornication, cruelty, moody indifference and contempt for the dignity of man and the creation of God.

No.

Ahead of the best days.

We will do it, but not without cost and struggle.

It is enough to avoid this late.

To rise.

Fight back. “
