Fifteen people killed in crush, reports say

According to Indian media, at least 15 people were killed and 10 were injured in the New Deli railway station.

Eyewitnesses reported that the BBC Hindi “a huge crowd” gathered at the train station, from where many people went to the Hindu Religious Festival, Kumbu Mille.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his thoughts were “with everyone who lost his loved ones” in office on X.

Authorities said the situation is now under control.

D -Rita Saxena, Deputy Medical Chief of the Locke -Nyak Hospital in New Delhi, told AFP news agency, which could confirm 15 deaths at his hospital.

Reuters reports that three were killed and 10 women.

Eyewitness, Ruby Davi, told the BBC Hindi that the crowd was so big that she could not go to the station, adding that “a situation similar to a stamp.”

Another person said the police do their job, but the crowd became too big. “

According to Reuters, the Indian railway initially rejected the stamp conversations as “rumor”, but confirmed that the undisclosed number of people was injured and taken to the hospital.

Favority comes a few weeks after dozens were killed in a pre -press at the Kumba festival in northern India, where tens of millions of Hindus gathered.
