Argentina’s Milei to pull out of WHO in move mirroring Trump’s

President Miley’s decision to abandon his country from the WHO, which arose from the same arguments underlying the abolition of the United States.

Both referred to the reaction to the COVID-19 pandemia, which imposed a long closing in Argentina, as well as problems about the influence of Chinese language on the global health.

The difference is that the impact that is probably on the WHO itself.

The US is certainly the largest individual participant in the UN body, given about 950 million dollars (760 million pounds) in 2024, almost 15% of the total budget. The US conclusion will ask some difficult financial issues.

Argentina, on the other hand, makes approximately $ 8. This is unlikely to make a significant difference of material.

The big question is whether other leaders who share the worldview of President Trump decide, as President Miley decides, decide to take similar measures.

If more powers are pulling out – and it is supposed to be great if – the authority of the WHO, as the one who is truly global, can take a blow.

Argentine media say they expect that in the coming days, President Miles will sign the executive order that will begin the Argentina process that has pulled out of the WHO.

Speaking to a press conference, Presidential Socialist press, Manuel Adoro, said that “we do not allow the international body to interfere with our sovereignty and even less our health.”

The press secretary claimed that the WHO exiting Argentina will provide greater flexibility for policy, taking into account its own interests, and to manage its funds, as it considered fit.

President Miley, who characterizes himself as “anarch-capitalist”, was critical of who for a while, but the idea of leaving the body appears to have acquired a traction on days after Donald Trump has signed an executive order on the move, leaving the US from the international body.

It seems that two heads of state share the mutual passion for each other.

Javier Miley was the first foreign leader to meet Trump after winning the November 5 election.

Speaking at the celebration at the Trump resort Mar-a-lago on the night of the meeting, Milie stated that “the wind of freedom (was) much harder after Trump’s victory.”

Asked by journalists on Wednesday whether President Miley plans to leave other international bodies or contracts, the presidential press -secretary refused to exclude anything.

“The president is very determined when it comes to making Argentina Frir, so any connection that Argentina has with the bodies that go against his freedoms, we will do our best to prevent their interference with the Argentines.”

Environmental activists in Argentina say they will be afraid that it will go in the footsteps of Trump, as well as to move the wheels to move from the Paris Climate Agreement, an international treaty aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
