Police confirmed that the girl swam in the waters near the bribe -Aienda – not far from the mainland, on which Vurim Beach sits – if she was attacked by sharks, the species of which was not identified.
Ambulance in Queensland confirmed that the victim was suffering a life -threatening injury to her upper body.
She was bitten about 100 m from the shore, Australian media reports.
