Premier League clubs have already doubled their spending compared to last January and there is still a week left in the transfer window.
Spending across the league was £116m a year ago, down more than £600m from 2023, as clubs wary of breaching the Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
However, a year on, the total spent in the current window stands at more than £234m, with the most crucial period yet to come as Premier League sides look for mid-season reinforcements ahead of deadline day, February 3.
For what is likely to be a dramatic final week of the window, from Monday January 27 to Friday January 31, Sky Sports News. flagship program Transmission show will be broadcast from the Sky Store at London’s Battersea Power Station between 17:00-17:30 and 19:00-20:00.

Biggest expense so far
They will have plenty to discuss as clubs continue to invest.
Manchester City they are the biggest spenders of the window so far, spending more than all Premier League clubs combined last winter, spending £126.1m on new signings.
Champions have signed Omar Marmush from Eintracht Frankfurt for £63.2 million, Victor Reyes from Palmeiras for £29.4m and Abdukodir Khusanov From Lens for £33.5m.
And City could still add more signings with interest Andrea Cambiasso and: Douglas Louiseboth Juventus and Real Valladolid’s teenage centre-back Juma Bah.
As we approach the final week of the window, there are plenty of other clubs also keen to do business, including Arsenal:, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and: West Ham.
The Gunners are looking for attacking reinforcements and have held internal talks over a possible move to RB Leipzig. Benjamin Sescowhereas Wolves Matheus Kunya is also interesting.
Chelsea are considering a deal Alejandro Garnacho as Manchester United look to raise funds to invest in Ruben Amorim’s squad with Lecce Patrick Dorgu target, and potential Christopher Nkunku.
Meanwhile, West Ham are in talks to sign the striker Andrew Silva From RB Leipzig, having already seen a big offer John Duran rejected by Aston Villa.
