Chris Brown sues Investigation Discovery’s “Chris Brown. to the producers of the documentary “History of Violence” … claiming that the project is full of outright lies.
In new court documents obtained by TMZ … the singer accuses Warner Bros. Discovery, Ample and others following the promotion and publication of defamation suits against him, even after he was allegedly provided with “proof” that their story was false.
Brown not only points out that Jane Doe, the subject of the documentaries, has been discredited many times, but she also emphasizes that she has never been found guilty of “any sex-related crime.”
He claims they based the documents largely on the lawsuit Jane Doe filed against him… adding that he later retracted the lawsuit because it was full of lies.
Brown says the producers and Jane Doe chose to ignore the fact in order to tarnish her and her reputation … which she says she spent more than a decade repairing.
The singer claims that he takes responsibility for his “mistakes in the past”, including physical abuse of his ex-girlfriend. Rihanna – and sprung from them… and criticizes the producers of “History of Violence” for pushing an old story for fame and fortune.
Brown says he was directly affected by the documentaries … because it hurt his reputation, his career and his business opportunities. So he’s seeking $500 million in damages … which he plans to donate in part to sexual assault victims if he’s awarded :
We’ve reached out to Ample and Warner Bros. for comment. Discovery has…no feedback yet.
