David Lynch, the writer and filmmaker whose credits include Mulholland Drive and Twin Peaks, has died aged 78.
Lynch’s family announced his death on their Facebook page.
“There is a big hole in the world now that he is no longer with us,” the message reads.
“But as he used to say, ‘Watch the donut, not the hole.’ … A beautiful day with golden sun and blue skies all the way.”
