
An unsuspecting man waiting for a subway train in New York threw himself in front of it… the brutal incident was caught on security footage.
A video is circulating online showing the incident, which happened Tuesday afternoon, in which an unidentified 45-year-old man, who appeared to be looking at his phone, was standing near the edge of the 18th Street lane. station
The clip is somewhat graphic … it shows the hooded individual walking after the victim before turning around and pushing him in front of the train. The train then runs over the man.
Other people were at the station when this went down … and the video shows them running from the scene, away from the hooded person.
We were told that one person is in custody, but the specific charges have not yet been revealed. The victim is in critical condition.
Police say this was a random attack … and the platform was shut down and evacuated while an investigation is underway.
This isn’t the first crime of its kind in New York City subway stations … and it follows a particularly gruesome incident involving a 61-year-old man. Debrina Kawam from Toms River, New Jersey, who was allegedly set on fire by a man.

In fact, crime has recently gotten so bad that the volunteer squad of Guardian Angels, which rose to prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, has resumed patrolling the New York subways, once again donning their signature red berets and jackets.
