Gal Gadot: Actress had ‘terrifying’ blood clot while pregnant

Writing on Instagram, Gadot said the past year has been “one of deep challenge and deep reflection” and that she wasn’t sure whether to share details of her health emergency.

“Perhaps this is my way of processing everything, pulling back the curtain on the fragile reality behind the chosen moments we share on social media,” she wrote.

“Most of all, I hope that by sharing, I can raise awareness and support others who may be going through something similar.”

She explained: “In February, when I was eight months pregnant, I was diagnosed with a large blood clot in my brain.

“For weeks I suffered from excruciating headaches that kept me bedridden until I finally had an MRI scan that revealed the horrible truth.

“At one point, my family and I were confronted with how fragile life can be. It was a stark reminder of how quickly things can change, and in the midst of a difficult year, all I wanted to do was hang on and live.”
