BBC’s Rosenberg challenges Putin on his 25-year rule of Russia

The BBC’s Russia editor, Steve Rosenberg, asked Vladimir Putin whether he had “cared” for Russia during his 25 years in power.

At the president’s annual press conference at the end of the year, Rosenberg reminded Putin of how his predecessor Boris Yeltsin, handing over power, ordered him to take care of the country.

In response, Putin said that Russia “restored its sovereignty.”
