Person of interest arrested in UnitedHealthcare CEO murder case Brian Thompson revealed … and his name is Luigi Mangione.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Mangione is being questioned by authorities in Altoona, Pennsylvania … although he has not been charged in connection with the fatal shooting.
The New York Times first reported that the person of interest had a written “manifesto.” Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the manifesto was “critical to the health care industry.”
Mangione’s LinkedIn account lists him as a former high school principal who most notably attended an Ivy League school in Pennsylvania.Mangione is from Maryland and his last known address was in Hawaii.
Mangion, who also attended the Gilman School in Baltimore, Maryland, headed to UPenn in 2016 … where he graduated with a degree in engineering, computer and information science. He continued his studies at the prestigious school for another year… earning a master’s degree in the process.
As TMZ previously reported, LM was was detained by the police after officials received a tip that a person of interest had been seen at a McDonald’s The manhunt for the alleged shooter expanded nationwide after New York Police Comm. Jessica Table said the alleged perpetrator fled New York.
The Times reports The arrested man showed police the same fake ID used to rent a New York dorm room where the murder suspect is believed to have stayed. last week’s murder … and the detainee had a gun, possibly a “ghost gun,” and a silencer, according to law enforcement sources cited by the newspaper.
