Kevin Sinfield’s latest fundraising challenge broke the £300,000 barrier as the public continued to support his bid to help those living with Motor Neurone Disease.
Sinfield completed the second day of his quest to run seven ultramarathons in as many days, setting off from Gloucester’s Kingsholm Stadium in the morning to Bristol City’s Ashton Gate.
Arriving at the Championship club’s pitch, Sinfield told the crowd:
“Thanks for coming out and supporting us, we’ve had great support over the last two days.”

Sinfield says that Rob Burrow taught him some important lessons, including the importance of giving time to others, and also made him a better friend.
Sinfield was cheered on by former Gloucester and England rugby player Ed Slater, who was diagnosed with MND in 2022, with the latest round of his Running Home for Christmas project.
And he was met at Ashton Gate by former Gloucestershire and England cricketer David ‘Sid’ Lawrence, now county chairman, who was diagnosed earlier this year.
Sinfield will travel to Northern Ireland on Tuesday, with a route around Belfast expected to finish at the city’s Windsor Park stadium in the early afternoon.

Seinfeld sent a special message to Leeds fans who gathered to pay tribute to Burrow
Having already raised more than £10 million for four previous marathon feats, Sinfield aims to run more than 230 miles in all four parts of the UK in seven days.
It is his first fundraiser since his friend and former Leeds team-mate Rob Barrow died aged 41 in June.
