Mattel has a major Wicked problem on its hands … because it added a URL to the back of its Elphaba and Glinda toys, and it turns out to be a very NSFW site.
Here’s the deal…the toy company’s character dolls from the movie based on the Broadway musical of the same name basically sell the action figures of the two lead witches.
Mattel mistakenly printed a porn site on the packaging of its Wicked dolls.
The intended web address for the film was “https://t.co/Q2A56WOHul“, but there was only the word “evil” on the packaging. pic.twitter.com/P8pDOh5Au2

On the back of the dolls they put a URL to www.wicked.com… in case people who buy the toys want to buy more, except it’s not the company’s website. It’s a porn site.
Mattel’s website for their toy catalog is “www.wickedmovie.com”… a minor error with serious consequences for any child who may have already tried the site.
Obviously there is a lot of outrage from parents online…mostly because they accidentally visited the site and not so much because their child did.
A Mattel representative tells TMZ that they are aware of the misprint, which is mostly made on dolls sold in the U.S. They deeply regret the error and are taking steps to ensure that future dolls do not have the wrong URL on the back.

Mattel advises parents to discard the product packaging or hide the link… and anyone with more questions is asked to contact Mattel customer service for more information.
Bottom line…parents should specify that site on the back of the box if they don’t want to answer some really awkward questions.
