The head coach John Lewis says that “discipline and skill level” is the reason why England has lost ashes of women, not the fitness.
England is 10-0 inferior after five consecutive defeats in Australia, when tourists defeated 3-0 in a one-day international game, and then won the first T20.
Former English player Alex Hartley, now a BBC expert, has questioned the team’s fitness after leaving the group stage of the T20 World Cup in October last year, which Lewis then rejected.
The head coach of England admits that his team is not as “sporty” as Australia, which greatly explains cultural differences.
But he is determined that the difference between the nations is due to the fact that the southern stars are better in the key times.
Speaking at the T20 international and last international meeting in Adelaide on Saturday (8.10 Britain and Ireland), Lewis said: .
“Is that why we don’t win here in cricket games?” No. I think that their discipline and master level have been higher.
“It’s a game of the game, on which we are working all the time, all our players do it. We really work hard on it.
“On the other Sunday morning, I walked from Bondi to Kuz, and almost all the suburbs of the eastern suburbs of Sydney floated in the sea, running and walking.
“There is a cultural difference between Australia and England, so the comparison of the two nations, I think, is slightly different.
“We must accelerate, and we can definitely get more power. If you are talking about whether we can run marathons or not, we don’t need. We must be appropriate for the purpose. “
Australian Multilateral Athlete Grace Harris mocked Britain after his team won the second T20 affected in Canberra. They wanted to “embarrassing” their competitors, sweeping the series 16-0 – What will happen if they win in the T20 Finals and from January 30 in the daytime test in Melbourne?
Lewis. “We hit the bear”
England struggled with 6-0, in 2023 the previous Ashes series at home 8-8, but the best result they can now reach 10-6 defeat.
Lewis said: “If you look at the Ashes of 2023 I think we hit the bear a little bit. Australia has left and restored. The rating is bigger, but I don’t think that gap is there.
“The last time we won those important moments in the games, and they made them in this series.
“We are clearly disappointed that we have not registered results, but I think we have been more competitive than the score shows.
“I expected that this would really be a truly difficult tour for us to come, compete and win.
“They are an exceptional team, they play on their own land, they win the world for a long time, and we have a developing group of cricket players.”
Lewis added about his future as a coach. “I love this work and I am committed to making them a better team.”
