Wladimir Klitschko is considering a shock comeback to attempt another world title at the age of 48.
Klitschko has not boxed since his loss to Anthony Joshua in 2017. But speculation has swirled that the Ukrainian, once the dominant heavyweight champion of the world, could be tempted out of retirement and aim for a record title win.
Tom Loeffler, who co-founded K2 Promotions with the Klitschko brothers, said Sky Sports“I know at one point his dream was to break George Foreman’s record and become the oldest heavyweight champion.”
But he added: “I don’t want to speak for Vladimir, I’ll let him say everything about it.”

Oleksandr Usyk and Fury star in epic trailer ahead of their rematch
There are four main world titles. Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will fight for three of them – the WBC, WBO and WBA belts – in a live rematch on December 21. Sky Sports box office.
Daniel Dubois holds the fourth and final belt, the IBF heavyweight title.
“He wouldn’t fight Usyk because it’s his countryman, but now with the likes of Daniel Dubois, and depending on what happens, we could see him retire,” Loeffler said.
“But we will allow him to make any announcement, a lot depends on what happens on December 21.
“There is no better ambassador for boxing than Wladimir and his brother Vitali. If we see Wladimir back in the ring, I think a lot of fans will be extremely excited to see him again.”

Daniel Dubois says he wants to fight all the top guys as he becomes an undisputed target after his fight against Joseph Parker.
Having lost his unified world title to Fury in 2015, Klitschko had to box him again, only to see that fall.Loeffler wonders if that second fight could still happen after all these years.
“There was a point of a rematch with Tyson Fury, but after winning that fight Tyson got derailed, so Wladimir never got the rematch he was supposed to get in the contract. So you never know if it happens down the road, it’s going to be a huge fight he said.
“But we will see that everyone is focused on December 21 and after that it depends on what Wladimir decides to do. He is in a situation in Ukraine that can change every day. I am just happy that they are as solid as they are fight as much as they do. If there is an opportunity for Wladimir to return to the ring, it will be his decision, but we will definitely support it.”
Dubois himself would welcome an IBF world title fight with Klitschko. “This is the era in boxing where anything can happen,” said Dubois Sky Sports.

“I think it was talked about a little bit before, but he obviously didn’t like it. “Do I want Daniel on my case?” This young lion is hunting me, huh!’
“Guys like that can come out of retirement. Look, Mike Tyson had an exhibition fight the other day. It’s all for play.
“If all the conditions are right, then yes, let’s fight.”
Loeffler noted. “Every time I see Wladimir, he’s in great shape. He trains all the time. He’s one of the most athletic people I’ve ever met. If anyone could do it, Wladimir could do it let’s see.
“I would certainly cheer him on if he made boxing history with such emotional stories.”
