The student and teacher killed in the horrific Wisconsin school shooting earlier this week have been identified.
According to The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office … a 14-year-old student Ruby Patricia Vergara and a 42-year-old teacher Erin West died in Monday’s shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison.
The medical examiner says Erin and Ruby “died of gunshot wounds.” The ME says their deaths remain under investigation by police and the medical examiner.
In their statement, AV continues to say that the shooter is 15 years old Natalie Rapnow died of “gunshot-related trauma”… which is consistent with what the police have already said.
According to Ruby’s obituary at Gunderson East Burial & Cremationwebsite, he was a freshman at the school.
His obituary states that he “was an avid reader, loved art, singing and playing the keyboard in the family worship band. He had a special bond with his beloved pets”… his cat, Gingerand his dog Coco.
