As the debate rages over whether it’s rude to sing loudly in theaters at Wicked shows … one star is telling fans it’s s***!
Cynthia Erivo Thursday was a guest at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade where he was asked Hoda Kotb and: Jenna Bush Hager on the topic of the debate.
Cynthia, who plays Elphaba, said fans should sing their hearts out, showing if they feel it…after all, the cast did.
Since the musical blockbuster was released last week… there’s been an online debate about whether it’s okay for people to sing loudly at shows, obviously some thought it was cool… while others thought it was it’s rude.
While raking in tons of dough at the box office… “Wicked” also encouraged fans to wear theater costumes… which didn’t sit well with some.
Several videos posted on TikTok show patrons having to wash the green paint off their faces… A longstanding AMC rule prohibits covering the face.
It seems like Elphaba’s matches might be easier to sing as long as she’s green in the face…after all, Cynthia did give the green light.
