Last week, people from East Nebraska had freezing temperatures -30s Fahrenheit and windshield -60s F. schools abandoned Extreme arctic cold. Then I walked around Sunday, “I was around 57 degrees (f), and the people were in short films,” Van Dewald, the Meteorologist Meteorologist, Omaha Weather Service (NWS) Office.

For Omaha and high plains and for other places, temperatures have been 75 to 100 degrees in a few weeks. Other parts of the Central and East East also had a more noticeable heating, although it has more than 20 to 30 degrees F.

Last week the great frost was kindness to the air mass that moves south from Canada, bringing great cold and winds. In different places the day temperature records have been established: Bismarck, ND, -39 degree F was established on February 18 (a 37-degree f set in 1910). And the same day Minot, ND, saw the record of -33 degrees (breaking a 27 degrees f in 1903). Temperatures at high plains below normalcy 30 to 40 degrees Matthew Johnson said, a meteorologist at NWS Bismarck office. Brows with very cold arctic air are not common in the region. “This happens every two years, we get cold,” Dewald said.

Now the area is watching temperatures in the 60s, as well as the normal 70s (F), “says Brian Hurley, the main meteorologist at NWS prediction. Seesaw is connected to a change in air patterns higher in the atmosphere: The wind has led to lower pressure from the northwest to make it warmer and southwest to be hotter air.

Temperatures are rocking, although it is not entirely unexpected this year: the weather becomes more changeable in the meteorological spring, we will start on March 1. “Johnson said,” Johnson said.
