If you’ve been near a dog after going for a swim, you’ve probably been sprayed with water from its fur. We now know the brain pathway that causes animals to dry off quickly – a phenomenon known as wetness. the dog shake

At least 12 different nerve cells help furry mammals like mice and dogs feel physical sensations, such as temperature changes or touch. However, it was not clear which of these neurons sense the irritant substances that the animals want to shake…
