According to federal financial documents obtained by TMZ, the WH has hired cleaners to deep clean the West Wing, the East Wing and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building next door. :
The White House is also spending an additional $46,800 to thoroughly clean the carpets in the aforementioned areas … noting that the cleaning was needed before the 2025 inauguration.
This isn’t the first time the White House has paid to clean up the joint, as TMZ reported back in 2020, the Trump administration previously issued a similar order Joe Biden assumed the position in 2021.
However, the cost was noticeably less with … WH down to just over $127,000 for initial cleaning. That’s more than a $13K difference!!!
So either the Biden administration got a little tougher on the official POTUS residence, or inflation is at play here.
The Trump White House has also ordered it carpets to be cleaned back in 2020 … which cost them just over $44,000 at the time.
Again, we’re seeing an increase in spending, which was a key issue for voters on Election Day.
