President of Russia Vladimir Putin finally weighs in on the 2024 US election, extending his congratulations Donald Trump about his bravery after surviving the July assassination attempt.
At an international forum in Sochi on Thursday, Putin shared his admiration for Trump, saying: “His behavior at the time of the assassination attempt left an impression on me.
The head of Russia added… “He showed himself in the right way, courageously like a man.”
Putin also said Trump’s comments about wanting to improve US-Russia relations and possibly help end the Ukraine crisis were worthy of attention, after the Kremlin cautiously welcomed Trump’s claim that he can resolve the Ukraine conflict within 24 hours… although they are waiting for concrete political steps to confirm this.
Putin emphasized that since this will be Trump’s last presidential term, his actions will have even greater weight, and that is why he is ready to speak.
The FBI’s investigation into alleged ties between Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia has not brought any charges, and official review defects were found during the investigation.
