Vidal Riley and Isaac Chamberlain will finally meet in the highly anticipated All-British Cruiserweight showdown on February 1, live on Sky Sports.
An internal showdown has been brewing for some time as the pair prepare for what could be a defining night in their respective career paths.
Riley took her perfect professional record to 12-0 on Saturday night when she defeated heavyweight Dan Garber in a Natasha Jonas unification clash with Ivana Habazin in Liverpool.
Chamberlain, meanwhile, is 16-3 following a unanimous decision defeat to Jack Massey at Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park in June.
“The paths have crossed now, we can talk, we can fight, it’s a great business,” Riley said after his win on Saturday.
The pair share remarkable unanimous decision victories over Michael Lawal, with Riley impressively overcoming a rib injury en route to a commanding victory earlier this year.
Riley’s development has apparently piqued the interest of YouTube star Jake Paul, as has the Londoner’s social media presence, but the 27-year-old has long insisted he wants to prioritize domestic and eventually world titles last step towards it.
It’s an opportunity for Chamberlain to make a statement against his setback against Massey as he looks to return to the cruiserweight division’s biggest names.
The massive heavyweight rematch between Alexander Usyk and Tyson Fury will be shown live on Sky Sports Box Office on Saturday 21 December. Book Usyk v Fury 2 now!
