This week, OpenAI and other tech companies joined US President Donald Trump in pledging half a trillion dollars in private investment in US data centers over the next four years at the White House. “Project Stargate” could fuel an ambitious deployment of AI technology that will have ramifications for the US power grid and the country’s energy future.
