Nashville, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee proposed injection of more than a billion dollars in road projects in an effort to deal with $ 30 billion projects, which can again provide taxes and other fees.

The Budget Proposals of the Republic of Governor includes temporary $ 14 billion at the same time by the General State Tax and a plan to change $ 80 million from the tire tax. Lee and the Republican legislators accepted the financing of road financing similarly to the financing of two million dollars, traditionally covered taxes.

Road money is one of the 59.5 billion budget proposals of the LEE year in July. Tennessee’s budget has been narrower because tax revenues slowed down, compared to the time of the Boom that has taken shape during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Safe roads are the main responsibility of the state, but there are limited funds to meet unlimited money,” Lee said in the annual state of the State of State Monday afternoon.

Filled after filling some parts of the budget Special Session Special last month. Lee convinced the legislature to spend more than $ 900 million from different monetary potters. They include a huge expansion Vouchers To help students go to private schools, leave it with a public school teacher; Hurricane relief for hurricanes destroyed by Helene hurricanes; and changes to the Administration of Donald Trump Immigration Deportation Crack Plans.

Lee took a priority path in 2023, his legislation had an infusion of $ 3 trillion for projects and hybrid vehicles and hybrid rates. He also opened the door Allowing to indicate the paths of Toll on the highway Through public-private officials, officials have not yet been carried out by officials to attend neighborhoods from Nashville to the southeastern sight.

Tennessee is not alone. Many states have also taken several steps to complete their gas taxes, and are not required for road work, while more people are driving electric and hybrid vehicles.

Meanwhile, Lee proposed to direct $ 11 million to the boys and girls club to help promote children’s surveillance programs across the state, as well as selecting a state program that makes up children’s caregiver salaries.

“Today, Tennessee’s kindergarten leads almost the same price label at a four-year public university,” Lee said. “That’s the most insurmountable cost of mothers and most daddy who want to be in workers”.

Lee proudly took his proposals “tens of thousands of thousands of days around the country and city tennern”, but they did not have additional purposes to achieve this goal or when it would be achieved. He did not determine which one would serve. For example, many locations in the Tennessee guys and girls club only offer daily services for children and more children.

In the Monday’s talk, Lee proposed a $ 60 million fund, which would create 0% construction loans to build single-family houses. Governor’s budget while no tax break in Tennesans, Lee said last year’s intention to finance a tax credit last year, developers would give incentives to developers who build cheap homes.

“They are important steps, and together, we should continue looking for more solutions to address the issue of housing, through innovation, through regulation,” Leek said.

Lee proposes tens of dollars to invest in nuclear energy. In his plan, the state would help $ 50 million to help the Tennessee Valley Authority develop Small modular reactor. The Federal Utility has requested US $ 800 million in the energy initiative energy department.
