The iconic actor spoke at an event at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate on Thursday night, kicking things off by discussing the first scene from his classic 1976 boxing movie Rocky.
Sly told the audience that the cameras panned from a mural of Jesus Christ to a boxing ring in a converted church, where Rocky punches his opponent, as the words “Resurrection AC Club” appear in the background.
At that point, Slee said, Rocky becomes the chosen one who begins his journey and undergoes a transformation to change lives “just like President Trump.”
Sly described Trump as a “legendary figure,” saying he was “amazed” by his victory over the 47th president, Kamala Harris.
Sly noted: “This individual doesn’t exist on this planet. No one could pull off what he pulled off, so I’m amazed.”
Sly also compared Trump to the first US president, George Washington, explaining that GW had no idea he was going to change the world by defending the nation during the American Revolution.
“Guess what,” Sly asked the crowd. “We got a second George Washington.”
Sly then congratulated and welcomed Trump as he took the stage to his many supporters, including Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Before Kennedy Jr., Elon Musk and Tucker Carlson.
