Stuart Kettewell has quit as manager of Sunset after revealing “personal abuse” began to “affect his family”.
In announcement, mother – Who meets on Celtic Live on Sky Sports On Sunday, they said, they “reluctantly” accepted the resignation.
Castlewell made the decision on Monday and explained to the club’s chief executive Brian Caldwell that the abuse had led to his family wanting to stay away from games.
The 40-year-old’s departure comes a month before his two-year anniversary, leaving the club in the Scottish Premiership.

Caldwell ‘very disappointed by abuse’
In a statement, Mother Executive Director Brian Caldwell said:
“It’s really sad that Stewart felt the time was right to move on.
“He had an exceptional record and generated an impressive amount of transfer revenue for the club.
“He was an important factor in the development of graduates of Myrsel Academy, as well as in the development of young loan players during his tenure.
“When Stuart approached me, I was very disappointed when I had it on his family and how he felt. No one who gives the club a row
“We therefore had no choice but to reluctantly accept his resignation in the best interests of Stewart and his family. As fans, as a community football club, we will always look after our own.”
