The Boeing passenger jet that crashed at the weekend, killing hundreds of people, was reportedly warned of a bird strike minutes before it made an emergency landing.
According to the country’s transport ministry, air traffic controllers warned the crew that the plane had been hit by a bird before Saturday’s fatal crash, which killed 179 people.

News1 also reports that a passenger allegedly sent a text message to a family member minutes before the crash, claiming that there had been a bird strike near or on the wing of the plane.
