Ryan ReynoldsA recent Instagram post mentioned how he didn’t particularly want to wear the Deadpool suit… and although many thought this was a reference to his wife’s lawsuit. Justin BaldoniTMZ found out that’s not the case.
Here’s the deal… In a post on his Instagram story Monday night, Ryan shared a video of himself in a Deadpool costume alongside Kidpool to raise money for the SickKids Foundation.
It’s a 90-second clip featuring the Wonder Woman star Linda Carter — and it’s all for a good cause, but in a post on her Instagram story, she thanked the director for directing this point “when I really didn’t want to wear the suit.”
Obviously, online fans instantly thought RR was citing a sexual harassment and defamation campaign lawsuit Blake Lively filed against her I Ends With Us costar Baldoni.
A source close to Reynolds, however, tells us the phrase wasn’t emotional … she’ll have to put on some weight to get back into the suit, which isn’t necessarily easy or fun.
We’re told Reynolds paid for the entire campaign himself, so he didn’t really want to go through all the training for the 90-second video… but the organization is worth it, so he did.
This is Reynolds’ eighth year working with SickKids, and he’ll do anything for them.
As you know … Blake filed a lawsuit against Baldoni filing allegations of sexual harassment and what she claims is a concerted effort to destroy her reputation.
Baldoni’s has denied all the claims…and, obviously, it’s the start of a long, stressful lawsuit between the two sides.
But that’s not why Reynolds didn’t want to don red and black spandex again.
