A Philadelphia Eagles fan who was filmed calling a Packers supporter a “dumb ***” over the weekend has finally broken his silence … claiming his outburst on Wednesday was provoked.
Ryan Caldwell said the statement New York Post video of him running into a Packer supporter in Sunday’s playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field doesn’t tell the full story.
What’s it like going to Philly just trying to root for your team…
No reason needed.Packers tweet help me find this guy… not good
I hate that this happened to my fiance just cheering on his team pic.twitter.com/aiHCKzxrSS

@Basaraski:
Caldwell claims that what happened immediately before his vulgar rant was a “banter” between all parties.He then strongly implied that Alexander Basara and his bride Ally Kellergave him eggs.
“There are two sides to every story,” Caldwell said.
However, Caldwell issued a serious mea culpa … admitting his behavior was “unacceptable.”
“I want to sincerely apologize to Ms. Keller for those words, and to my wife, my family and friends, my former employer and co-workers, the Packers fans, the Eagle fans, the Philadelphia Eagles, the city of Philadelphia, and all those who were offended. “.
“I will live with this experience,” he continued, “and I’m certainly paying a personal price.”
Caldwell has lost his job over the footage … and our Eagles sources told us Wednesday afternoon that he is also barred from attending events at Lincoln Financial Field from here on out.
For Basara’s part, he’s been pretty quiet on the radio since Monday … though he was adamant when he released footage of the incident that Caldwell’s actions were “unprovoked.”
